Entertainment Engineering, Inc. (EEI) was formed in February of 1987 by Kent Bingham, President and CEO, as a wholly owned subsidiary of John A. Martin and Associates (JAMA), one of the largest structural engineering consulting firms in the United States. Prior to forming EEI Mr. Bingham served as Director of Operations for JAMA. As of the year 2000 EEI is now a privately held corporation.
Previous to his experience with JAMA, Mr. Bingham held the position of Chief Structural Engineer for Walt Disney Imagineering for six years. While at WDI he was responsible for the structural development, design and construction phase services for the EPCOT projects and providing the structural interface for the facility, show, and ride systems.
During these years Mr. Bingham worked with many of the most influential individuals and organizations in the themed entertainment industry. When he came to work for JAMA many of these clients sought him out there for his creativity and expertise in engineering successful prototypical ride and show systems. Hence the formation of an office dedicated to this particular type of engineering service.
Since its formation in 1987 EEI has performed a wide variety of structural, civil, and mechanical engineering and design functions, A&E Project Management, QC reviews of show action equipment as well as developing and implementing numerous transportation and people-moving projects. We have the unique ability, by way of our multi-disciplinary team, to:
EEI/TIG consists of a core team of engineers, designers and project directors who work out of our Burbank, California offices, and a team of world class technical consultants who have worked with Mr. Bingham on challenging projects since before the company was formed. From this core team and our consulting partners we can pull together a creative group that has the ability to bring to successful completion any project regardless of its complexity or uniqueness.
The EEI/TIG Supervisory Team at our Burbank office looks like this:
EEI Staff resumes are avilable upon request.
There is no limit to the size or technical complexity of the projects that we can address. For example:
In order to facilitate handling of the numerous transportation projects that we are currently processing, have proposed, and completed, EEI has formed a sister company: Transportation Innovations Group with two divisions; the TIG Land Division and the TIG Air Division. The TIG Land Division deals with the design, engineering, and construction administration of all of our land based rail and road borne vehicle systems. The TIG Air Division was formed to administer the design, engineering, fabrication, sales and support of our revolutionary lighter-than-air aircraft line.
