What is Transportation Innovations Group?
Transportation Innovations Group (dba Entertainment Engineering, Inc.) is a design and engineering firm uniquely positioned to bring together all of the various disciplines required to successfully complete advanced transportation solutions for challenging new projects regardless of scale. Our group includes Structural, Mechanical, and Civil engineers, Vehicle and Transportation Systems designers, conceptual, industrial, and theme park designers all with an eye to the future.
We are a technological powerhouse with the imagination and creativity demanded to brainstorm new and exciting transportation environments, coupled with the conscience to accomplish it in ways that enrich and enhance the lives of all those who come into contact with our products.
We are part of an extensive network of Disney trained Imagineers who are the spiritual heirs to the creative genius behind the accomplishments of Disney when Walt was at the helm. Many of our team members were with the Walt Disney Company, WED and Walt Disney Imagineering, during their most challenging and creative periods. Members of our team have been involved in the design of all the major transportation devices in the Disney and Universal Parks, including the monorails and WEDway people movers. We have been involved in public-sector transportation, light rail, and people moving as well, and Entertainment Engineering, Inc. has designed and built the first Induction Powered electric trolley system in the U.S., the Farmers Market Trolley.

Why use TIG for your Transportation System Planning and Procurement
At TIG we do not sell transportation products. We provide creative solutions to transportation problems. Think of TIG as a mold in which transportation systems are formed. We uniquely possess the experience and network of talent to design and supply a fully integrated system which combines all the required disciplines into a cohesive, functional system.
Should you work with a transportation consultant?
Absolutely. Be sure you select one that has the depth of skill and experience to fully analyze ALL your options. Be sure that you fully understand if your consultant has allegiances to particular manufacturers. TIG is capable of providing you everything a transportation consultant can supply, and so much more. We can also work with you and any specialty consultant you choose. This is precisely what we do when we design and build a Disney World, an EPCOT, a Children`s Global Village, or any other resort.
Should you select an off-the-shelf system?
Of course. But only after you have done a thorough review of all the viable alternative systems, and done a proper trade off study with value engineering and failure mode analysis. Also, an independent 3rd party QC review of any engineered system is highly recommended. Remember that when talking about transportation systems, the only thing stored on a shelf is the engineering and experience drawn from previously manufacturing similar systems.

D. We own the intellectual property for all of our vehicle systems, giving future clients access to our extensive transportation system technology and experience. However, we preserve the uniqueness of the body styling for each client giving them the advantage of a unique look for their particular project while providing fully tested electro-mechanical vehicle systems.
E. We start each project with a review of all possible alternative solutions to our clients needs. This includes a review of other off-the-shelf systems, and others that we can design and build, only limited by our collective imaginations.
F. Warranties and product reliability
1. Our vehicles are designed around off-the-shelf components, and are assembled in a modular configuration for ease of maintenance and replacement.
2. The EEI/TIG procurement format has never failed to produce a reliable and durable end product. The first article is just as reliable as any that follow.
3. Our vehicle systems are built by the best-qualified manufacturers that are available at the time. They are selected from the talent pool that has designed and built most of the best systems now operated by Disney, Universal, and most other show and ride operators in the world, especially those from Las Vegas and Asia.
4. We have access to the world’s leading companies, and fully utilize their products in our designs. Please note that we used the Wampfler inductive power system in our Farmers Market Trolley, and are researching the use of the TRW vehicle guidance.
